Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood from patients and taking the blood specimens to the laboratory to prepare for testing. As a phlebotomy technician you are an important member of the clinical laboratory team. You will receive a certificate of completion for the Phlebotomy class, however, if you want to become nationally certified, you will also need to take the following courses in order to take the exam:

  • ENGL 1010
  • MATH 1050 or STAT 1045
  • BIOL 1500
  • NURS 1008
